No ticket matched all seven numbers for the record $90-million Lotto Max jackpot in Friday’s draw, so the prize carries over to Tuesday, Oct. 20, CTV News and insauga reported.
Searches for the $90-million jackpot topped 100,000 in Canada on Saturday, according to Google Trends, as players checked their tickets.
The $90-million prize is the largest lottery jackpot ever offered in Canada and has reached the game’s current maximum, insauga reported. Tuesday’s draw is also expected to include 20 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each and 90 MaxPlus prizes of $100,000 each, putting an estimated $119 million in top prizes on the line in a single draw.
Several Ontario players won big on Friday. Four Maxmillions tickets worth $1 million each were sold in London, Oxford County and Essex County and on OLG.ca, according to insauga. Another 14 MaxPlus tickets worth $100,000 each were sold across the province, including one in London and two in Toronto.
In British Columbia, three large winning tickets were sold in Kamloops, CFJC Today reported, citing the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. One matched all four Extra numbers for $500,000, and two others each won $100,000 MaxPlus prizes.
London has produced a record winner before. Canada’s biggest lottery prize to date, $80.4 million, was won by a pair of longtime friends from London last December, according to Global News. A Surrey, B.C., player won $80 million in the May 9, 2025, Lotto Max draw, CFJC Today reported.
OLG’s media relations director told CBC that winners should check their ticket quickly, put it in a secure location and then contact OLG.
