
VANCOUVER—Imagine if the Leafs had blown that game in Calgary Thursday night. It was close, and it would have meant six straight losses. Instead, Toronto pulled out a victory and muffled the alarms just in time to get to Vancouver and spent the first 13 minutes of the game getting absolutely pantsed. All week the Leafs had been a little defensive when they pointed out that to blow leads in four consecutive games you needed to play well enough to take a lead in the first place. Well, this game underlined that point.
