Nearly 60 undocumented migrants are travelling to Ottawa to join others from across Canada in a Town Hall meeting with Immigration Minister Sean Fraser and other Cabinet Ministers about the upcoming regularisation programme.
As they board the bus, spokespeople will hold a press point to explain their objectives in travelling to Ottawa, despite the risk such a trip presents for them as undocumented migrants. A press conference will also take place in Ottawa at 2pm to report on the meeting.
The meeting takes place as federal Cabinet prepares to decide on criteria for a regularization programme for undocumented migrants. Undocumented migrants from across the country are calling for regularization without caps, exclusions or delay.
