We’re massive fans of Apple here at Canada News Media, as are many of our fellow Canadians, with iPhones now accounting for 56.98% of the market share of smartphones owned in the country, according to data collected by Stat Counter. In fact, this favour for iOS-running mobiles is in direct contrast to the rest of the world, where Android phones come out on top. This truly makes us a country of Apple lovers, who like to enjoy the tech-giants products every day, though we’re not sure if this keeps the doctors away.
Well, the good news is that there are a bunch of upcoming releases that will excite all of us Canadian tech fans. Plus, Apple products were made with 50 percent more recycled material last year, meaning you can feel guilt-free purchasing them. So, let’s take a dive into previewing some of the most tantalising that are in the pipeline.
iPhone 14
Apple is expected to release not one new iPhone model during the rest of 2022, but a whopping four. These will all fall under the new iPhone 14 umbrella, and will all be an evolutionary upgrade on the iPhone 13, which was released on 24th September 2021. The brand spanking new models will be the standard iPhone 14, and the more specced up iPhone Pro, which will both measure 6.1-inches, and then the iPhone 14 Max, and its more spruced up relative, the iPhone 14 Max Pro, which will both be 6.7-inches. Bad news for those with small hands though, as there won’t be a smaller Mini model.
When it comes to upgraded features, there are apparently even more improvements to the camera, which will further add to the debate around the competition between a $5,000 pro camera vs iPhone 13 Pro, can you see the difference? There’s also expected to be an even faster processing chip, known as the Apple A16 Bionic, which will be included in both of the Pro designs, and also all of the models will have a speedier 5G modem installed.
AirPods Pro 2
When the first-generation AirPods burst onto the scene back in 2016, there were many uneasy rumblings that this was Apple trying to revolutionise a technology that didn’t need it. After all, wired headphones had been such a mainstay of everyone’s lives for so long, and until then, they’d got along with them perfectly. Ok, sure, it was incredibly annoying for them when the wires got tangled up in something, but they could just about live with that.
However, all the apprehensions were quashed when people actually tried out this remarkable product, and they realized the pure freedom that wireless headphones now gave them. Apple then managed to build upon this already great product in 2019, with the release of the AirPods Pro, which introduced a bunch of features, including active noise cancelling, water resistance, and a remodelling that included interchangeable silicone tips for greater comfort.
Well, news is now circling that the company are due to release the AirPods Pro 2 in the forthcoming fall of 2022. There’s much speculation about what the newer model will include, with the most likely being an even more compact design, meaning they will remove the stems that adorn the current product, allowing for an even comfier fit.
VR Headset
For ages now, there have been leaks released by Apple rumour websites that have slowly dribbled out information over the years that Apple is working on a virtual-reality headset, and whilst there still isn’t anything that has been confirmed yet, the rumours continue to get louder and louder. There are even some that are saying that there could be an ‘Apple VR’ set by as early as 2023. With the impact the VR consoles are having on the games market, we’re sure that Apple will want a big slice of that monetary pie.
In the meantime, though, we’ll just have to continue to play games on our MacBooks and iMacs, which have really stepped up their gaming prowess over time. They’re now commonly used to play all types of games, in many different countries, including on online casino sites. For example, over on Casino Reviews, they have all the best casino no deposit bonus sites for citizens in New Zealand. All the listed choices are well researched and are fully updated on the regular, meaning their users are constantly getting access to gambling sites that gift no deposit casino offers. As the name suggests, these offers allow players to try and win some real money, without having to deposit their own. Sounds tempting, right.
