
WATERLOO REGION — The region’s economy is expected to outpace both the provincial and national economies over the next two years, according to a new economic report.
The latest economic projection for Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge was released by the Conference Board of Canada this week, offering a relatively optimistic picture for the region’s economy, despite expectations for a looming slowdown in the face of macroeconomic headwinds including rising interest rates and recession threat.
