Ontario’s free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests holiday pop-up blitz will be making its way to Guelph as the province of Ontario released on Friday three pop-up locations for next week.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week the province will be handing out the rapid antigen tests free of charge at the University Centre at the University of Guelph.
The tests will be given out starting at 10 a.m.
This is the second since the holiday pop-up blitz started on Dec. 16 that Guelphites will be able to access a pop-up location in their home city as the city of Guelph has been excluded from the updated weekly list of distribution areas.
In mid-December, two select LCBO locations in Guelph were provided with a small supply of rapid antigen tests, however, due to shipping delays and high demand, the available tests proved problematic to access.
Access to rapid antigen tests will be subject to available supply. At sites distributing tests, there is a limit of one test kit per person.
Previous pop-up locations have seen lines, sometimes over two-hour waits, as people clamoured to get their hands on the much sought-after COVID-19 testing kits.
