North Americans have been gifted with a culinary explosion of variety, traditional and creative food from all over the world. I would like to introduce a wonderful meal.
A rice-wrapped roll of goodness, open to your flexible suggestions too.
Consists of Daikon Radish finely cubed, diced scallions, onions, celery, either ground chicken or pork and finally rice paper(rounded or square).
Slow fry ground meat, and drop in all items except Daikon Radish. Once caramelized golden brown drop in Daikon and fry slowly.
Prepare a bath of cold water so you can moisturize the rice paper. Let fried items cool and then using a spoon place some of the ingredients lengthways, roll and fold ends.
A delicious meal or snack. Many of us add soy sauce or plum sauce for added flavour. Friends of mine who have Caribbean backgrounds add diced okra and diced flying fish to the pot. This is a dish that presents the cook with flexibility, open to creative imagination. A friend of mine substituted the chicken/pork with duck. Yummy 🙂

Your family’s foodie traditions are essentially priceless, so learn from your parents or grandparents and share-share alike.
