Ford is recalling 2025 and 2026 F-150 pickup trucks in Canada because the bolts that secure the driver’s seat may not have been tightened properly, Transport Canada said.
The recall, numbered 2026482, was posted on the federal recalls site on Oct. 6, 2026, and updated Oct. 16. The notice does not say how many trucks are affected in Canada.
In a crash, a poorly secured seat could move or come loose, which could increase the risk of injury, according to the notice.
Ford will notify owners by mail. Owners should take the truck to a Ford dealership, where the seat bolts will be inspected and tightened, or replaced if needed. The notice does not mention a cost to owners.
Owners can check whether a truck is included by entering its vehicle identification number in the Transport Canada recalls database or by contacting a dealer.
The F-150 is among the best-selling vehicles in Canada. For other recent vehicle notices, see our reports on the Volkswagen ID.4 battery fire recall and the Mercedes S-Class brake hose recall.
