Paris Saint-Germain scored twice in the final 10 minutes to beat Barcelona 4-2 at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, taking top spot in the UEFA Champions League table.
Désiré Doué gave PSG the lead in the 38th minute. Xavi Espart equalized for Barcelona in the 55th minute, and Lucas Hernández put the home side back in front in the 72nd.
Lamine Yamal levelled again for Barcelona in the 79th minute, but PSG answered almost immediately. Vitinha scored in the 81st minute and Fabián Ruiz added a fourth in the 86th.
UEFA named Doué the player of the match. English referee Michael Oliver took charge in front of 47,421 fans, according to UEFA. No player was sent off.
ESPN reported that PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left with an injury just before the hour mark.
Barcelona started Pedri, Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Yamal, according to the lineups published by UEFA, and ESPN reported that Karim Adeyemi came on as a substitute. Barcelona agreed to sign Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund in July.
PSG has nine points from three wins, with 14 goals scored and five conceded, according to UEFA’s standings. That puts it top of the 36-team league-phase table, ahead of Aston Villa, which has the same goal difference but fewer goals scored. Barcelona has two wins and a loss and is eighth with six points.
The top eight clubs after the eight-match league phase advance directly to the round of 16. Teams finishing ninth to 24th go into a knockout playoff round, and the bottom 12 are eliminated.
PSG’s next match has a Canadian angle. The French club visits Villarreal on Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. ET (1 p.m. MT), and Villarreal started Canadians Nathan Saliba and Tajon Buchanan on Tuesday, when Canadian striker Tani Oluwaseyi scored off the bench in a 4-3 loss at Liverpool. Barcelona hosts Aston Villa the same day, after Villa beat Viking 3-1 to stay perfect.
Champions League matches are streamed in Canada on DAZN, which holds the competition’s Canadian rights through the 2026-27 season.
