Henry reported 4,542 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C. Tuesday, up more than 400 from Monday. There are 294 patients in hospital with 82 in intensive care.
Within Interior Health, there are 1,014 active cases, an increase of 49 from Monday. Fifty patients are hospitalized including 21 in critical care.
Eight more people have died of the virus, swelling B.C.’s death toll to 1,218. One of the deaths registered Tuesday took place in Interior Health, lifting the regional death toll to 75.
There are 7,080 people under active public health monitoring due to exposure to known COVID-19 cases.
Another 61,129 people are considered fully recovered from COVID-19, or 89 per cent of all recorded cases.
The province has administered 140,452 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including 5,097 second doses.
