The first frost has already arrived in much of the country, and a proper snow brush with a built-in ice scraper is one of the cheapest winter essentials you can keep in the car. Clearing the roof, hood and every window is also a safety issue: snow that slides off a roof on the highway can blind the driver behind you. Here are five well-reviewed options on Amazon.ca, from a basic 27-inch model to extendable 44-inch tools for trucks and SUVs. For the technique itself, see our guide on how to clear snow and ice off your car in Canada.

AstroAI 27-inch 2-in-1 Detachable Snow Brush and Ice Scraper

The most-reviewed pick here and the best fit for most drivers with a car or small crossover. It was listed at $17.99, rated 4.3 out of 5 stars from 27,406 ratings, with “1K+ bought in past month” shown on the page.

• 27-inch length with an 8.66-inch brush head
• 4.5-inch ice scraper
• Four rows of split-end polypropylene bristles, described as paint-safe
• Brush and scraper detach with a push-button buckle for storage

The 27-inch reach is the trade-off: tall SUVs and trucks will want something longer.

AstroAI 46-inch Extendable 2-in-1 Snow Brush and Ice Scraper

Built for trucks, vans and SUVs where the roof is out of arm’s reach. It was listed at $36.99, rated 4.2 out of 5 stars from 7,679 ratings, with “800+ bought in past month” shown.

• Extends from 36.81 to 45.87 inches with three locking settings
• 4.5-inch curved ice scraper
• Brush head pivots 360 degrees and locks horizontally or vertically
• Separates into three pieces; a storage bag is included

It costs about twice as much as the 27-inch version, which is the price of the extra reach and the pivoting head.

EcoNour 27-inch Aluminum Snow Brush with Ice Scraper

A budget alternative with an aluminum body and a wider brush. It was listed at $17.99, rated 4.1 out of 5 stars from 5,121 ratings, with “100+ bought in past month” shown.

• 27 inches long with a 9.5-inch brush
• 4.3-inch scraper with ridges on the back to break up thick ice
• Foam grip
• Brush and scraper separate with a metal snap

It has the same reach limit as the other 27-inch model and a slightly lower rating.

Rubbermaid 37-inch Extendable Snow Brush and Ice Scraper

A mid-priced option from a name most Canadians know. It was listed at $22.99 and rated 4.4 out of 5 stars, but from only 26 ratings, so treat that score as early. The page showed “50+ bought in past month.”

• Extends up to 37 inches and retracts for storage
• Soft, flexible bristles
• Built-in scraper with ice-breaking teeth
• Listing says it was tested at temperatures as low as -30 C

The low review count is the main caution; the brand and the cold-weather claim are the draw.

METOWARE 44-inch Snow Brush and Ice Scraper with Squeegee

The highest-rated option with a meaningful review base. It was listed at $33.99 and rated 4.6 out of 5 stars from 614 ratings.

• Extendable aluminum alloy pole, starting at 34.6 inches
• Brush head pivots 360 degrees
• Foam grip to keep hands away from the cold metal
• Splits into three parts: brush, scraper and pole

It is the pick for tall vehicles if you want the squeegee for wiping meltwater off glass.

How we chose. We looked at Amazon.ca search results and listings for snow brush and ice scraper combos, and picked models with detailed specs, a range of lengths and prices, and a meaningful number of ratings where available. We did not test any of them. Prices and ratings were accurate as of Nov. 2, 2026, and may change. We did not check the seller of each listing. Whichever you choose, brush snow off the roof before you drive, and never use a metal tool on glass.
