Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc says Canada will impose 25 per cent import tariffs on another $29.8 billion of U.S. goods including steel and aluminum following the U.S. imposing another round of tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly says the U.S. tariffs are an “existential threat to our country.” Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne says Canada will be ensuring the auto sector lives up to its commitments to Canada despite the tariffs.
