
A South Porcupine class is in isolation because of a confirmed COVID-19 case, according to District School Board Ontario North East (DSB1).
The school board’s website indicates the case is affecting one classroom that is in isolation. The school is open.
While the Porcupine Health Unit reported one new case — the 89th to-date — today, it was in the Hearst, Hornepayne region.
This is the third case reported in a school in the health unit’s region.
The others were at Louis-Rheaume Catholic School in Timmins, and Kapuskasing District High School.
