
“Receiving financial support from the PRRD will demonstrate to our funders that the SPAS (South Peace Arts Society) is recognized regionally. This opens up a world of new grants and respective programming,” states the letter.
Directors voted in favour of a motion that would see a total of $10,000 through fair share funding – $2,500 from Electoral Area E and $7,500 from Electoral Area D, providing the society puts in a grant application for the funds.
The South Peace Arts Society last received funding from the PRRD in 2019. The Society has been in operation since 1948, building off the industrial and agricultural boom which built the region.
