On April 3, 11,200 tests were completed, with an eight per cent positivity rate.
Hospitalizations continued to be stable in the last 24 hours. On Saturday, April 3, 8,000 vaccines were administered in Alberta.
To date, 693,000 vaccines have been administered across the province.
Dr. Hinshaw noted that the usual COVID-19 update will resume on Monday, April 5.
“In the meantime, please continue to follow the health measures that are in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help protect those around you,” she stated on social media.
During Saturday’s update, Dr. Hinshaw noted the health officials were investigating a “significant” outbreak in Alberta involving P.1 variants of concern – the variant that originated in Brazil, linked to a returning traveller.
