Keep U.S. politics out - Chatham This Week

Recently a letter appeared in your publication that cautioned against the expression of liberal negative views, towards the former President of the United States. The basis of this claim, was that your area of distribution, is what could be considered as a local conservative district.

I find that foreign politics in a local Canadian newspaper is unnecessary. Worse, however, is an attempt to stifle free expression, if it is found to be personally against what someone considers to be the local majority.

I have been a Canadian “Conservative” for nearly five decades. And I can find little in common with what has taken place in the United States over the past four years.
