The number of active local cases of COVID-19 dropped in Saturday’s online report by Lambton Public Health.
The report said there were eight fewer active cases, compared to the previous day, for a total Saturday of 209.
The public health agency reported 37 new cases Saturday, with an additional 45 local cases having been resolved.
There have been a total of 2,758 local cases identified since the pandemic began and 2,501 of those cases have been resolved.
The agency said the number of local COVID-9 deaths was unchanged Saturday at 48 and the number of active outbreaks in local institutions and workplaces was also unchanged at 15.
Bluewater Health said six patients with COVID-19 were in local hospital Saturday. That’s down one from the previous day.
