
More information is expected in the coming days on the free flu shot clinics to be set up across the province this month.
To help ensure the province doesn’t face a double pandemic of COVID-19 and influenza, this year free flu shots will be offered via the province’s pharmacies. As well, the shots will be offered in long-term care homes and in schools.
Health Minister John Haggie says the “go live” date for public clinics, drive-thrus, and arena-style offerings is October 21st.
Haggie assures the province is prepared.
He says they have bought enough vaccine for everyone, and enough high-dose vaccine for those over 65.
