Summer is finally here, and we are all looking forward to some warm weather, sun, vacation, and not the least, some sports. For many, this is the best season to watch and bet on sports, because there are so many fun and exciting sports events happening. You also have more time off than usual, so it is perfect to fill it with sports.

Tour de France
If you are a fan of cycling, then this is for you. Tour de France is the world’s largest bicycle race where cyclists from all over the world travel to France to partake in the legendary event. It is known to be a huge event during summer, and many tune in to watch and bet on the expert picks. This year is different as the race will take place from June 1 to June 24, and be in four countries, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, and of course France. Michael Woods, Guillaume Boivin, and Hugo Houle are three of the Canadian racers that are participating in the race this year.
Wimbledon
From June 27 to June 20, we are all about tennis. This is the time when the prestigious Wimbledon is being held in London, England. It is the oldest and for many the most important event in the sport of tennis. The official name of the championship is “The lawn Tennis Championships” and is held annually at the All England Club Wimbledon. During this year’s Wimbledon, we will have the delight of seeing Canadian players Félix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, and Vasek Pospisil competing in the men’s singles, and Leylah Annie Fernandez and Bianca Andreescu in the women.
Summer X-games
If you are looking for sports filled with adrenaline and impressive athletes, then you should tune in when the summer X-games are being held. It is scheduled to happen from July 20 to July 24, and it is held in California, USA. The event is held yearly and is managed by the American sports broadcasting channel, ESPN, which focuses on extreme sports. There have been several great Canadian X-games athletes over the years, especially in the winter edition.
