Have the stresses and energy drain this season could impose upon you get you down? Don’t want to get out of the toasty bed in the morning, or go out and enjoy this often frigid season? Your immune system could be under attack, and your mental faculties need a true rest. Here are some immunity little helpers just right for the season…
Destress for real. Find time to be whatever you truly need to get some R & R. Perhaps even leave your usual environment and enter another of interest. Stress is caused by something, and you need to recognize where it comes from and deal with it.
Get together with others. Socializing is great for your immune system (remember we live in the age of COVID)!
Have a pet, enjoy it. Need company? A pet may just be what you need to love and care for each day.
Let’s talk about SEX. It’s good for you, both participants. Your heart, lungs, brain, and mental faculties will thank you.
Attitude is everything, along with humor, so find a reason to laugh, and laugh with others 🙂
Vitamins and antioxidants are vital, so research what you need. Not sure? Ask your doctor and make their day.
What you eat is important. Find a good even balance, and again ask your doctor or dietician for advice.
Consume what you want, just do so with moderation in mind ok?
If you are a smoker, midnight toker, or drink alcohol a bit too much, remember your lungs were designed to breathe in air, and air only. Alcohol in moderation folks. Habits can be redirected and managed too. Ask for advice from a professional.
Exercise- exercise and do it again. Breathe the fresh air, go for a walk and hold hands, and do your exercise with others. It’s always easier. Burn your energy and feed your bodily machine properly.
What did we learn since the beginning of the pandemic? Be what you eat, drink, and breathe. Everything around us affects us in some way. Learn to manage yourself, and what and how you do it as well. Washing your hands often, little direct contact with others particularly those coughing around you, and even masking when needed will protect you from the pesky germs and viruses out there.
Stay healthy, happy, and wise because the alternative is a downer you may not survive. It is all part of your self-management plan. Be aware and ready to adapt.
