Vancouver has a new hockey superstar.
Defender Caroline Harvey was selected by the Vancouver Goldeneyes with the first pick at the 2026 PWHL Draft on Wednesday, marking the start of her professional career after dominating the NCAA.
Harvey, 23, spent her college career with the University of Wisconsin, winning national titles in three of her four years with the Badgers, including back-to-back wins in 2025 and 2026.
In her senior season as captain, Harvey led NCAA defenders with 18 goals and 64 points in 33 games.
The New Hampshire native has represented the United States twice at the Olympics, taking home silver as a 19-year-old in 2022 and gold in 2026 in Milano Cortina. She led the tournament in scoring with two goals and nine points in seven games.
The Goldeneyes earned the first-overall pick by finishing first in the PWHL’s Gold Plan, which rewards teams with the best record after being eliminated from playoff contention.
