Have we forgotten about climate change?

There are over 100 Green Parties in 90 Nations Globally, receiving millions of votes at election time yet our environment is still under threat from the very economic systems that have unleashed a torrent of unregulated corporate harvesting of the earth resulting in massive amounts of CO2 being expelled into our atmosphere.

Even though the naysayers of the past have acknowledged the existence of Climate Change and its climatic effects upon our economies and populations this destructive process of harvesting the earth’s resources continue. In fact have you heard any politicians recently speak about climate change and how these elected officials will somehow change the trajectory of planetary collapse some day? It will happen folks.

Earth has limited resources. Its oceans, seas and waterways are being polluted daily with micro plastics, chemicals and trash. Climate Change has challenged humanity in a way never before seen. Atmospheric Rivers, unending droughts, loss of land to the oceans, Island Nations ready to be overrun by rising waters, uncontrollable flooding and now accepted Forest depletion due to the ever present Forest Fires.

We keep electing right wing political parties who represent the wealthy corporate elite and Business World. These Corporations spend $Trillions sending people into space instead of developing appropriate water barriers, forest fire retention systems, training a mass of people in order to protect our planet, find ways to save the present day wildlife species from extinction and most importantly shelter the homeless, feed over a billion people near hunger poverty levels and develop a system that maintains life on earth. The wealthy see humanity as an ever growing concern that needs to be controlled and often thinned out. Much of the Third World is expendable, or so it seems. If it were not why does poverty, hunger and pestilence still exist?

We look to the skies trying to read what the weather will be. Mother Nature will probably surprise us in the end. Heat Domes have developed over Europe and Asia. Temporary Heat Domes often sit over Southern and Mid West US Regions where 36-45 degrees Celsius can and does present itself for a longer period than a few decades ago. Australia has experienced temperature mediums rise 15-20 degrees within a day.

The Ice Cap is melting filling the Ocean with fresh water. The Ice shield in the North and South Poles are receding quickly, not giving Arctic Wildlife a chance to evolve in turn. Joni Mitchell was right when she sang about the trees being put in a museum and people being charged just to see them.

People don’t think like North Americans who only know about their particular environment. Much of this planet is Third World or worse. Regions often unwilling to allow the growth of wheat, corn or veggies. Areas where drought drives populations away in an effort to find sustenance. Ask yourself why do people from far away strive to come to your lands? Why did America build a wall on the border of Mexico? To keep the perceived “good in and the unwanted out”. There will be an avalanche of population movement in North America much like what was seen in the EU a decade before. It matters not what the authorities will do, for where there is a Will, there always is a Way!

Look at your environment, your neighborhood, your community. Protect it. It includes all the wildlife, bugs, birds and fishes of the waterways, the grasslands, foothills and mountains too. WE ARE ALL ONE WITH GOD. God’s Creation was passed onto US, and WE are getting failing grades. Once nature, clean water, wildlife, fresh air is gone IT IS GONE.
