NEW BOOK BY DR. ANTHONY SANFILIPPO ADDRESSES HEALTHCARE’S “INVISIBLE CRISIS”: THE DANGEROUS LOSS OF PATIENT TRUST
“Without trust, even the best systems fail.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TORONTO, ON. Sutherland House Experts is pleased to announce the upcoming release of The Trust Prescription: The Case for Human Connection in Healthcare (Nov. 24, 2026) by renowned physician and medical educator Dr. Anthony Sanfilippo. The book is now available for pre-order.
Building on the critical acclaim of his previous book, The Doctors We Need, which launched his exploration into realigning medical education with societal needs, Dr. Sanfilippo’s latest work confronts healthcare’s invisible crisis: the sharp decline in public trust despite extraordinary advances in medical science.
Through vivid real-world scenarios, from urgent cardiac procedures and childbirth crises to end-of-life decisions and pandemic conflicts, The Trust Prescription examines the growing gap between clinical success and public confidence. Dr. Sanfilippo introduces the “Trust Triad” (Communication, Truth, and Commitment) to dissect how economic forces, institutional pressures, and rapid technological changes have strained the doctor-patient relationship. Far from a nostalgic plea for a bygone era, the book provides a practical, forward-looking roadmap for clinicians, leaders, and patients to rebuild credibility and human connection.
