Another 59 new cases of COVID-19 reported in British Columbia today, the same as it was in yesterday’s update.
Of that, there were 19 new cases in Interior Health (175 active), with 21 in Fraser Health (175 active), 10 in Vancouver Coastal Health (236 active), seven new cases in Island Health (22 active), and two new cases in Northern Health (30 active).
In all, there are 649 active cases of the virus in B.C., up from 624 from yesterday. There are now 74 people in hospital (down from 86 yesterday) with 19 people in ICU, down from 20 yesterday.
On the vaccine front, there are now 78.4 per cent of people (3,635,811) over the age of 12 who have gotten one dose of a COVID-19, while 40 per cent of people (1,854,387) are fully vaccinated.
There was one new death reported in Interior Health today taking the total in the province to 1,760.
