How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EST / 4:00 PM PST
In Canada: CityTV, Sportsnet East, One, Sportsnet Now (English), TVA Sports (French)
Streaming: NHL.tv/NHL Live

The latest chapter in the rivalry that has slowly been forming between the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens may be a bit more muted than usual with both teams in transition. Ottawa is in a holding pattern as their rebuild runs its course, while the Canadiens are just holding their breath waiting to see who’s still standing when the dust settles on Monday.

Both teams have an addition to the roster tonight. The Canadiens brought up an old veteran who will play his first game of the season. Karl Alzner will be dressing in his 683rd regular-season game after spending the year in the AHL. On the opposite side, top prospect Josh Norris is set to make his NHL debut after getting his goal total with the Belleville Senators up to 30 on Wednesday. The 20-year-old should be a fixture in this rivalry for years to come, so it’s best to get used to what he’ll bring to the team and this divisional matchup.
