UVic response to the coronavirus
As part of our response to the evolving COVID-19 situation, this website has been created to provide the university community with the most up-to-date information about COVID-19, including tips for staying healthy, information for travellers, and other resources for students, faculty and staff.
UVic is continuing to follow the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). BCCDC has assessed the public health risk associated with the virus as “low for Canada.” At this point in time, UVic has no cases presumed or confirmed.

Every member of our university community has the right to be treated with respect and dignity and to be welcomed and supported on our campus. No person should be targeted in any way or subjected to discrimination resulting from a misplaced perception that they may be a carrier of a communicable disease based on their perceived disability, race, ancestry, place of origin or otherwise.
