
Environment Canada has released an alert advising residents from the Muskoka region to Grey Bruce and south to York Region of a heavy rainfall warning.
The national weather agency is projecting 30 to 50 mm of rainfall in some areas, while others could see up to 75 mm.
Regions experiencing heavy rain alerts are:
- Hanover, Dundalk, Southern Grey County
- Owen Sound, the Blue Mountains, Northern Grey County
Regions under a weather statement advisory are:
- Barrie, Collingwood, Hillsdale,
- Midland, Coldwater, Orr Lake
- Orillia, Lagoon City, Washago
- Dufferin, Innisfil
- Bracebridge, Gravenhurst
- Huntsville, Baysville
- Port Carling and Port Severn
Thunderstorms are likely, and very high rainfall rates are possible.
Use caution while driving and keep an eye out for pedestrians.
