Google has launched its anticipated COVID-19 information website as well as a new search experience for coronavirus queries.
Announced a week ago, Google has officially launched a dedicated website for coronavirus information and resources which is available at google.com/covid19.
The website is primarily dedicated to education, prevention, and local resources. With this site, people will have easy access to state-based information, safety tips, and search trends related to COVID-19.
The website contains the following sections:
- Health information
- Safety & prevention tips
- Data & insights (incl. top searches & search interest over time)
- Resources to help
- Links to donate to relief efforts
- Latest news from Google’s blog
Google’s coronavirus website is launching today in the US with expanded availability in more languages and countries in the coming days. The website will be continuously updated as new information becomes available.
New Search Experience
Along with the launch of a dedicated website, Google has a whole new COVID-19 search experience. It contains authoritative information from health authorities, along with new data and visualizations.
The new search experience organizes results in a way that helps people navigate to important information and resources. This includes links to pages from health authorities and a carousel of health authorities’ Twitter accounts and the accounts of local civic organizations.
Searchers will also see a feature dedicated to surfacing common questions about COVID-19, with snippets sources from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Google is helping people track the latest information about the spread of COVID-19 with statistics and a map similar to the one Bing launched days ago.
The new search experience will fully roll out in the coming days in English in the US, with plans to expand to other countries and languages soon.
Fixes promised for Cyberpunk 2077 | Entertainment | kelownadailycourier.ca – The Daily Courier
We have updates from the management of Cyberpunk 2077 and more from people who worked on the game about that disastrous and glitch-filled launch last month.
The game was changed late in development by a lot. It was changed from third person perspective to first person.
A demo many saw didn’t have anything to do with the final version.
You can’t really fault those people who were working on the game as it seems management was overly eager to release a game before it was ready.
The company head even said they didn’t run into any issues with the PS4 and Xbox One systems.
And yet, just booting the game up on those systems has a player confronted with constant crashes, disappearing environments and character faces.
Things being cut during development to meet a release date isn’t something new, but people were told years ago the game would only be released when ready — not before.
Console reviewers weren’t given a review code until release and only PC reviewers were given codes earlier. But PC reviewers were limited to including footage that the team approved.
Developers CD Projekt Red did release a road map with patches to come in a few months and the next generation version is not being released until late this year.
I hope the game can be patched to fix all the bugs. I just wish we would stop getting games in people’s hands before they are ready.

Hitman 3 Level Finished in a Mind-Boggling 9 Seconds – TechnoCodex
Two speedrunners accomplished what may be Agent 47’s most impressive feat yet and they are still trying to optimize the time even further.
How long does it take to assassinate two targets in a densely populated stage in Hitman 3? Apparently only nine seconds.
Yes, you read that correctly. Less than one week after the conclusion to the “World of Assassination” trilogy released, speedrunners Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus finished the Dubai stage titled “On Top of the World,” in only nine seconds under the “Any%” category. The feat was accomplished by simply shooting the two targets while they talk to others in attendance immediately after they spawn. Sounds easy right?
It is certainly easier said than done. Although it is hard to imagine anyone finishing the stage quicker than that, the runners are still trying to optimize their time by more accurately lining up their shot according to VG24/7. The time has officially been verified by speedrun.com. However, being that they assassinate their targets in plain sight, they fail to receive the “Silent Assassination” rank. Don’t worry, that feat has been accomplished in only 17 seconds so it is not too far behind. If there was any doubt that Agent 47 is the world’s greatest assassin, I think this solidifies it.
To the excitement of many fans, Hitman 3 has launched to quite favorable reviews, currently holding an 88 out of 100 on Metacritic. In Dualshockers’ own review we awarded the game an 8 out of 10, saying “When all the pieces line up and your plans come together, the end result is a delight to witness,” and “For those who are already fans… this should be just what the unusual doctor with the barcode tattoo ordered.” Developer IO Interactive also revealed on Twitter that the game had the series’ most successful launch to date, boasting high review scores and revealing that the final game in the trilogy had the biggest digital launch in the franchise’s history.
Hitman 3 is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Canada Car Insurance Quote – How Anti-Theft Devices Help Reduce Premiums
There are a few insurance facts, tips, and hints that will help you save a little on your car insurance premiums; however, for the most part, here is one that we tend to forget to check into…
When people shop for a Canadian car insurance quote, they remember to discuss with their agent the prominent factors that can reduce their car insurance premiums like driver training, dropping collision from older cars, not using your car to drive to work, however when getting a Canada car insurance quote many forget to mention anti-theft devices they may have to protect their vehicle. By not mentioning anti-theft devices when you shop for a Canada car insurance quote, you could be leaving behind some additional discounts.
Auto theft costs are enormous; they cost Canadians approximately 1.2 billion a year when you add up legal bills and insurance costs, not to mention health care costs for those thefts that involve injuries. It is in our best interest and the interest of the Canadian insurance companies to take the steps in providing anti-theft devices that will help reduce these costs and let’s face it, any car insurance discount means money kept in your pocket!
There are three general categories for anti-theft devices; understanding these will help you when you are shopping for a Canada car insurance quote:
- mechanical – these are devices that prevent the steering wheel from moving – i.e., locking bars
- Alarms – these cause horns and lights to go off when someone tries to break into the car
- electronic – immobilizers that cut the power to the ignition so the car can’t be started,
The three mentioned are very familiar to us; the most familiar now is the electronic immobilizers because recently, the Government has just made them mandatory in Canada. These three categories of anti-theft devices can be broken down again into two categories:
Active devices – devices that require you to turn them on to activate them (mechanical and alarms)
Passive devices – devices that are activated when you turn the engine off (electronic)
It’s the passive devices that Canadian car insurance companies are the better of the two because they don’t rely on us to remember to turn them on; they come on on their own.
Before you start shopping for a Canada car insurance quote:
- Take advantage of all the insurance facts, tips, and hints.
- In this case, take a couple of minutes and write down the anti-theft devices your car already has.
- Write down if you have an engine immobilizer, wheel locks, car etching, anything and everything your car has, and ASK about each of them and see what sort of discounts the insurance company will offer.
DON’T ASSUME that just because engine immobilizers are mandatory, a discount has been applied; make a point of asking.
