Nothing Unveils “Ear (stick)” Wireless Earbuds for $99, With Twist-Open Case

Published

 on

London-based consumer tech startup Nothing unveiled its newest wireless headphones on October 26, dubbed the “Ear (stick).” Featuring up to 29 hours of playtime, a 12.6 mm custom driver, and a comfortable half-in ear design, these earphones purportedly deliver authentic sounds with a lightweight feel, for the price of $99.

“As we’re about to cross one million products sold worldwide, I can’t wait for people to get their hands on our third product, Ear (stick). It balances comfort while delivering our most advanced sound experience to date. The case is inspired by lipstick silhouettes and features a unique, yet functional, twist opening,” said Carl Pei, CEO and Co-founder of Nothing.

Nothing’s Ear (Stick) doesn’t use active noise cancellation (ANC) but has Clear Voice Technology. Three high definition mics work together with the firm’s algorithms to filter out louder background noises, amplifying user’s voice for wind-proof and crowd-proof calls. Controls are located on each earbud, and users can press on the earbud stem to play, pause, skip tracks, activate voice assistance and change volume.

The new product also uses Bass Lock Technology, smartly detecting how much bass is lost while wearing. The new earphones are IP54 waterproof and dustproof, can play music for 7 hours on a single charge, can be extended to 29 hours with the charging case, and support quick pairing with Android devices. Ergonomically shaped and tested on over 100 people, Nothing Ear (stick) feels weightless at just 4.4g per earbud, for effortless all-day wear.

Ear (stick) supports customized gesture controls and EQ settings like low, mid, and high frequency levels via Quick Settings when connected with Nothing Phone (1). For all other Android and iOS device users, they can download the new Nothing X app to realize all features.

The new device is priced at the same original suggested retail price as the Nothing Ear (1), but the latter went up by 50% on October 19 to $150. Nothing Ear (stick) will be made available in more than 40 countries through Nothing’s official website and partner retailers on November 4, and a 10% discount will be offered to early buyers.

WhatsApp starts rolling out Message Yourself feature – GSMArena.com news – GSMArena.com

Published

 on

WhatsApp is now rolling out its Message Yourself feature for users on iOS and Android. The feature was initially part of a beta trial that is now being made available to everyone.

Message Yourself is a feature that lets you, in a sense, message yourself. It’s a chat that is only visible and accessible to you and you can post there as you would in any other chat. This can be used to write important notes to yourself, saving web links, or uploading documents and voice notes.

This feature has been available on other platforms, notably Telegram, which has had it since launch. WhatsApp only publicly started testing this feature back in October. Some users have managed to work around its absence in the past by creating a group and then removing other members to essentially create a private chat for yourself.

The feature was unavailable for testing at the time of writing but should be available over the coming weeks.

Flexispot EG1 electric standing desk is nearly 50% off for Cyber Monday 2022

Published

 on

Source: Flexispot

Doctors have long touted the benefits of working at a standing desk compared to sitting all day. But most workers find that some work is more comfortable to do while sitting, while other work is more appropriate for standing. Sit/stand desks, like the Flexispot EG1, provide the best of both worlds, allowing you to electronically adjust the height of the desk at the touch of a button.

When I got my standing desk, I discovered another major benefit. I use it for product photography and because I can adjust the desk height, it makes it easy for me to shoot at just the right angle. It’s been a huge time-saver.

The desk I’m spotlighting today has a 24×40 in desk area. You can drop it down to as low as 28.6 inches from the ground and raise it up to 48.2 inches — or about shoulder height. The motorized lift system supports up to 132 pounds, which is more than enough for a keyboard, monitor, mouse, and even most tower PCs.

You do have to build the Flexispot EG1 yourself, but it goes together quickly and easily, and requires no special tools.

Amazon is currently offering 39% off, plus an additional $20 off if you click the coupon box.
