Ottawa’s most expensive house for sale is still the $9.99-million modern home in Rothwell Heights, listed at more than two and a half times the next asking price. Below it, the list runs from $3.875 million to $3.2 million, and a tie at the bottom makes this month’s list 11 homes rather than 10.
What changed since October: Compared with our October list, two homes are new and one has left. A $4.25-million Rideau River property in North Gower, No. 2 last month, no longer appears as an active listing on REW.ca. A $3,299,900 house in the Laurentian area near Westboro Village enters at No. 7, and a $3.2-million house on Queen Elizabeth Drive ties an October entry for No. 10. REW.ca shows the Queen Elizabeth Drive home has been posted for 231 days, so it is new to this list rather than new to the market. Every home that stayed kept the same asking price.
Ottawa’s top tier remains well below the country’s; our national list has the full comparison. The Bank of Canada raised its policy rate by a quarter point to 2.5 per cent on Oct. 28, and CREA reported that national sales fell 7.7 per cent from a year earlier in September as it cut its 2026 forecast for a third time.
How we built this list: We ranked detached houses within the City of Ottawa by asking price, using active listings on REW.ca checked individually on Nov. 4, 2026. A listing not posted on REW.ca would not appear here. A $5.05-million, 15-unit Sandy Hill apartment building and a $3.5-million mixed-use building in Old Ottawa East are excluded because they are income properties, though REW.ca labels them houses. Land, condos and other multi-unit properties are also out, including a $12-million parcel on Gilmour Street and a $7.49-million multi-unit property on Blossom Drive. We make no claim about who owns any of these homes.
