A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Cassellholme.

The home’s website shared the update on Tuesday night.

According to the website, a second resident and two staff members have tested positive for the virus.

Officials say residents are being cared for in the isolation unit, and staff members are isolating at home.

All close contacts have been notified and are being tested.

The home says essential caregivers and visitors are still able to visit however only one per resident at the time and will need to wear provided universal masks and eye protection and remain in the resident’s room.

A fourth vaccine booster is scheduled for residents next week.
