Father’s Day is upon Us this day,
a chance to express our thanks
and devotion to the men we love.
We look upon those who are devoted
to family, loving hope, and will,
to give those they love a chance to live.
A chance to become like their fathers before them,
in sacrifice, determined selflessness, and betterment too.
Our fathers hope that you and I will become better them them,
uniquely different fathers in an uncertain future.
For those whose fathers did not stand their ground,
who did not care for their little ones around,
who left family, and loved ones far away,
who stood alone instead of with their family fray.
Open your eyes, and see what you have done,
create a child like you who needs your love.
Selfless and hard work is needed each day,
to bring up a child and family true,
May you see that all they need is your devotion too.
Father’s Day celebrates the best we can be,
as many of us try to be fathers that are worthy.
Fatherhood is difficult, challenging, and demanding too,
but what you get in return is something most unique,
a chance to become godlike in nature and purpose.
Forming the little ones’ lives, and their characters with hope,
Fatherhood gives us the chance to be better than the past,
With hope and purpose, we help shape our children,
until then too receive this unique future challenge.
