On Tuesday, November 7, the City and ATU Local 107 will meet to continue collective bargaining
The City of Hamilton was informed by the ATU Local 107 that its membership has rejected the City’s final offer and that union members will commence strike action on Thursday, November 9. This means transit service will not be operating as of the start of the service day. As a result, the City of Hamilton will begin to implement contingency measures and is encouraging HSR customers to do the same.
At this time, the City anticipates that all conventional transit services will cease operations as of end of day November 8. The strike action by ATU Local 107 does not impact accessible transportation services offered by DARTS.
