Android 10 update with One UI 2.0 now hitting unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10 models in the US – GSMArena.com news – GSMArena.com

Published

 on

In a rare but very welcome occurrence, Samsung has now started sending out the final stable update to One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 to the unlocked models of the Galaxy S10 family in the US. The update for carrier versions went out only a week ago, so this marks the first time in ages when Samsung isn’t acting like it’s forgotten all about the existence of the unlocked units.

It’s great to see the company change its stance, and try to appease those select few who actually buy unlocked in the States. With previous models and big Android updates, sometimes months-long delays were to be had compared to carrier versions.

The 2GB update is out for the S10, S10+, and S10e, but as always it’s rolling out in stages, so it may be a while before all units out there pop up the coveted notification. The new software version is G97*U1UEU2CSKP, and it includes the December 2019 security patches.

One UI 2.0 packs all the goodies that Google baked into Android 10, including the new gesture navigation system, as well as Samsung-specific tweaks like an enhanced dark mode, a screen recorder, improved facial recognition, and a better Pro camera mode.

Hitman 3 Level Finished in a Mind-Boggling 9 Seconds – TechnoCodex

Two speedrunners accomplished what may be Agent 47’s most impressive feat yet and they are still trying to optimize the time even further.

How long does it take to assassinate two targets in a densely populated stage in Hitman 3? Apparently only nine seconds.

Yes, you read that correctly. Less than one week after the conclusion to the “World of Assassination” trilogy released, speedrunners Wreak and Der_Lauch_Linus finished the Dubai stage titled “On Top of the World,” in only nine seconds under the “Any%” category. The feat was accomplished by simply shooting the two targets while they talk to others in attendance immediately after they spawn. Sounds easy right?

It is certainly easier said than done. Although it is hard to imagine anyone finishing the stage quicker than that, the runners are still trying to optimize their time by more accurately lining up their shot according to VG24/7. The time has officially been verified by speedrun.com. However, being that they assassinate their targets in plain sight, they fail to receive the “Silent Assassination” rank. Don’t worry, that feat has been accomplished in only 17 seconds so it is not too far behind. If there was any doubt that Agent 47 is the world’s greatest assassin, I think this solidifies it.

To the excitement of many fans, Hitman 3 has launched to quite favorable reviews, currently holding an 88 out of 100 on Metacritic. In Dualshockers’ own review we awarded the game an 8 out of 10, saying “When all the pieces line up and your plans come together, the end result is a delight to witness,” and “For those who are already fans… this should be just what the unusual doctor with the barcode tattoo ordered.” Developer IO Interactive also revealed on Twitter that the game had the series’ most successful launch to date, boasting high review scores and revealing that the final game in the trilogy had the biggest digital launch in the franchise’s history.

Hitman 3 is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Canada Car Insurance Quote – How Anti-Theft Devices Help Reduce Premiums

Published

 on

car insurance

There are a few insurance facts, tips, and hints that will help you save a little on your car insurance premiums; however, for the most part, here is one that we tend to forget to check into…

When people shop for a Canadian car insurance quote, they remember to discuss with their agent the prominent factors that can reduce their car insurance premiums like driver training, dropping collision from older cars, not using your car to drive to work, however when getting a Canada car insurance quote many forget to mention anti-theft devices they may have to protect their vehicle. By not mentioning anti-theft devices when you shop for a Canada car insurance quote, you could be leaving behind some additional discounts.

Auto theft costs are enormous; they cost Canadians approximately 1.2 billion a year when you add up legal bills and insurance costs, not to mention health care costs for those thefts that involve injuries. It is in our best interest and the interest of the Canadian insurance companies to take the steps in providing anti-theft devices that will help reduce these costs and let’s face it, any car insurance discount means money kept in your pocket!

There are three general categories for anti-theft devices; understanding these will help you when you are shopping for a Canada car insurance quote:

  1. mechanical – these are devices that prevent the steering wheel from moving – i.e., locking bars
  2. Alarms – these cause horns and lights to go off when someone tries to break into the car
  3. electronic – immobilizers that cut the power to the ignition so the car can’t be started,

The three mentioned are very familiar to us; the most familiar now is the electronic immobilizers because recently, the Government has just made them mandatory in Canada. These three categories of anti-theft devices can be broken down again into two categories:

Active devices – devices that require you to turn them on to activate them (mechanical and alarms)

Passive devices – devices that are activated when you turn the engine off (electronic)

It’s the passive devices that Canadian car insurance companies are the better of the two because they don’t rely on us to remember to turn them on; they come on on their own.

Before you start shopping for a Canada car insurance quote:

  1. Take advantage of all the insurance facts, tips, and hints.
  2. In this case, take a couple of minutes and write down the anti-theft devices your car already has.
  3. Write down if you have an engine immobilizer, wheel locks, car etching, anything and everything your car has, and ASK about each of them and see what sort of discounts the insurance company will offer.

DON’T ASSUME that just because engine immobilizers are mandatory, a discount has been applied; make a point of asking.

You can unlock this secret Isu weapon in Assassin's Creed Valhalla just by whacking a pile of rocks – Gamesradar

Published

 on

A canny Assassin’s Creed Valhalla player has discovered you can unlock a powerful Isu bow just by whacking a pile of rocks.

As demonstrated in this video by JorRaptor, players should head up to Northumbria and visit Brunson Turret. In the nearby lake, you’ll find a small island – and here’s when the magic happens.

I can’t even begin to understand how someone might have accidentally stumbled upon this, but if you whack the rock a few times – noting that, unlike other piles of ore, it doesn’t break up – quick save, and log out, eventually you’ll respawn in front of a broken pile of rocks and then see the secret Nodens’ Arc bow unlock, popping up as a newly acquired item on your screen (thanks, Kotaku).

Right now it’s presumed this is either a bug or, in the very least, a cheese, so it’s possible Ubisoft might move quickly to prevent more players gaining the powerful weapon so easily, so head up to Northumbria sooner rather than later if you fancy grabbing the bow yourself.

ICYMI, Assassin’s Creed fans have finally translated the secret Isu language. Used by the first civilisation in the Assassin’s Creed series, clever fans have now deciphered what the god-like figures known as the Ancient Ones throughout the Assassin’s Creed series are saying.

From verbs to adjectives and numbers, Access the Animus comprehensively explains how to translate the Isu language, which has its own “complex grammar, alphabet, and a set of rules of its own”. They were even able to work out verb tenses, conjugated words, grammar cases, and sentence structures.
