“We have already done a pilot project on this in 2019 and it was very successful,” said Wendy Bosch, with the DownTown Association.
“Local artists are encouraged to come and showcase their talents and in doing so, they’re partnering with out local businesses.
Currently, there are eight pieces of street art in downtown Grande Prairie, mainly from this project.
Bosch thinks that this project will bring out Grande Prairie’s art community and will be beneficial to the downtown core.
“The heart of the city has to have a very cool vibe and we are trying to do that with modernizing in new and unique ways.
Bosch tells EverythingGP, she hopes as many people as possible apply for the event and she wants to see Grande Prairie’s creativity.
“Whoever they may be and whatever fun project they come up with, we look forward to see what they’re going to bring forth. We’d love to see something interactive and something extremely unique and just your normal everyday art. People love seeing anything like that.”
You can apply for the program at the DownTown Associations website.
