
EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Alberta Health officials reported four additional deaths related to COVID-19 in the province Monday.
Two more seniors from the Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre in Edmonton have died, a woman in her 80s and woman in her 100s.
There has been a total of 31 deaths linked to that outbreak at the facility.
A man in his 70s from the North Zone and a woman in her 70s from the South Zone are the other two deaths. Neither was linked to any continuing care facilities.

The total number of deaths now sits at 234 in Alberta.
In Monday’s provincial update Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw confirmed 258 new cases of COVID-19.
There are 1,172 active cases across the province.
Forty-five people are presently in hospital, with nine in the ICU.
More than 11 thousand Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.
