ECONOMY, N.S. —
A man and his dog required assistance from local fire officials in Economy Wednesday afternoon, June 10, after they ran into difficulty while hiking.
RCMP Cpl. Lisa Croteau said assistance was also provided by members from the Colchester District RCMP in the rescue of the man and dog from the Economy Falls trail.
Details of whether the man was local or from away were not immediately available but Croteau said both he and his dog are safe and were being assessed by EHS paramedics.
Initial information was that the dog may have fallen over an embankment.
