The NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League final was a tightly contested affair featuring duelling lottery picks.
Lendeborg splashed a three with just over two minutes remaining to give the Warriors their first lead since the halfway point of the third quarter. Lendeborg then hit a pull-up jump shot from the midrange on the next possession, cueing a Grizzlies timeout.
Fresh off an NCAA national championship with Michigan, the No. 11 overall pick in the NBA draft scored 21 points and added 10 rebounds, including a critical board to secure possession after Memphis missed a go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds. Deivon Smith added 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Lendeborg was awarded the Summer League championship game MVP for his performance.
Grizzlies starters Cameron Boozer and Cedric Coward added 19 points apiece and grabbed eight and six boards, respectively. Canadian Oliver-Maxence Prosper had eight points, three rebounds and two assists.
The game stayed close to even throughout, with the Grizzlies out-shooting the Warriors from long range while Golden State dominated the glass.
Memphis managed to pull ahead in the third on the back of game-high 9-0 run, culminating in a step-back three by the No. 3 overall selection in the 2026 draft, Boozer.
Then after Will Richard missed an ill-advised three-pointer, Boozer drilled another three going the other way, giving Memphis a then game-high 10-point lead going into the fourth. Jahmai Mashack started the final frame with a driving layup, adding to the Grizzlies’ lead.
But Lendeborg scored nine points in the closing quarter to complete the comeback and secure his second championship in the last four months.
