If you’ve received two COVID-19 vaccine shots and you get COVID-19, you should wait three months before getting your booster shot.
That’s one of the new recommendations from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.
They say if you become infected with COVID-19 before getting one or two shots, then you should wait eight weeks before your next dose. They add it also has to be at least six months after completing a primary series of shots, which is two.
The recommendation does vary for those who are immunocompromised or have MIS-C.
