The Los Angeles Rams have filled an opening in their coaching staff.
Former Washington Commanders offensive co-ordinator Kliff Kingsbury is joining the Rams coaching staff, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Peter Schrager on Friday.
Kingsbury was fired by Washington after the 2026 season which saw the team finish 5-12. He arrived in 2024 with head coach Dan Quinn.
The Rams last offensive co-ordinator Mike LaFleur was hired as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Kingsbury previously served as the head coach of the Cardinals from 2019 to 2022.
Since retiring as a player in 2007, Kingsbury has been a coach in the NCAA starting with the Houston Cougars 2008 earning a promotion to offensive coordinator in 2011. He spent time at Texas A&M in 2012 as offensive co-ordinator, then went to coach the Texas Tech Red Raiders as head coach where he would spend six seasons.
He has worked with many top quarterbacks both in the NFL and NCAA including Patrick Mahomes, Johnny Manziel, Kyler Murray, Jayden Daniels, and Caleb Williams.
