
The start of The Match: Champions for Charity, which pits Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady, has been delayed until at least 3:40 p.m. et today due to heavy rain and thunderstorms, according to Nick Piastowski of Golf.com.
If the event can’t be played on Sunday due to the weather, then it will be moved to Monday, according to PGATour.com.
Tiger Woods and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning are slated to take on Phil Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady in match play at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida.
The made for television event – dubbed The Match: Champions for Charity – is expected to raise over $10 million for COVID-19 related relief efforts.
Rain is expected in Hobe Sound Sunday afternoon.
The event is scheduled to start at 3pm ET.
