Four resident cases of COVID-19 have been identified at Wexford Creek long-term care facility and has been limited to the home’s first floor, Island Health said in an advisory.
Case numbers have been confirmed through testing or follow up from Island Health’s case and contact management team, said the advisory, and essential visits and single designated visitor visits will continue. In addition, no congregated dining or group activities will take place, movement of staff will be limited as much as possible. Enhanced screening for symptoms is taking place for all staff and patients and cleaning and infection control measures will continue, Island Health said.
