No details were given about the number of staff, or the unit.
As of Monday afternoon, Montfort administrators did not know how the staff members were infected. The affected workers have been placed in self-isolation and additional measures have been placed on the department, said a spokeswoman.
“Staff members who have contact with any patients are reminded to diligently follow the instructions for wearing masks, hand hygiene and physical distancing,” she said.
“Any staff member who shows symptoms must immediately leave the hospital and be tested, in accordance with our policy. This is a matter of ensuring the safety of both our patients and our staff.”
