The original reason we are told that America took on Iran on behalf of the oppressed within Iran. America flexed its muscle and could have made the Theocracy of Iran Collapse. Imagine that happening, folks. The Persian Diaspora and Iran’s Citizens can release themselves from tyranny, daily manipulation and oppression once and for all. Out with the corrupted National Revolutionary Guard, down with the Religious Police, along with the not-so-secret police. The Cult of the Ayatollah’s could finally become a sad history discussed in history class. Perhaps Democracy could show its face once more, promising American-style religious, sexual and social equality to all. One vote, one person, not influenced unduly by religious or political organizations. Women could walk in public with their hair down, in fashions straight from London and Milan, their beautiful faces publicly seen at last. Yeah, a miracle of democracy. So many of us thought.
Did America crush the Iranian Forces and secret police, “bombing them into the Stone Age”? Did a missile take out their legislature while it was in session? No more Ayatollahs, General and “the cult Supreme”. Imagine a free and democratically run election in a nation that has never experienced true democracy. Persian Citizens from around the world are running for office. Embargos ended, free trade initiated. Taxpayers’ money in Iran is going to those things most in need (Not weapons). An end to state terrorism domestically and internationally. Other nations see how America treats its friends and its opponents. A Marshall Plan(Trump Plan?) initiated to bring Iran financially, politically and spiritually “up to speed”.
Did this happen? No, sir/madam. The entire war was about bravado and Finances. MONEY NOT PEOPLE! The act of a deal maker, whose deal involved his financial supporters, the energy sector and the Pentagon. These three sectors will profit from this disaster of a war. Not even a war, more like a massive act of terrorism, accomplishing nothing at all. Who is to blame for this miscarriage of moral, ethical and democratic chicanery? Three sectors I mentioned, but particularly an American idiom often used by Presidents throughout American History. “For Democracy’s Sake,” we will bring down any dictatorship that oppresses its people”. John F. Kennedy had his Cuba; Jimmy Carter failed his own people internationally. Ronald Reagan had his Nicaragua, and Donald Trump has many failures, particularly with Iran. He spoke about Iran’s rights and freedoms, that a government should not prosecute its own people> He said he would do something profound. He did so by attacking some of Iran’s infrastructure and military. He simply did not go all the way and accomplish the downfall of Iran’s Ayatollahs Paradise. As we speak, Iranian firing squads are busy killing those opposed to tyranny. Members of the Iranian Opposition claim the Theocracy will not tolerate opposition, be it a single person, a group or an organization. Americans called upon the Iranian People to revolt against the oppressive Islamic Revolution. America also called upon Hungarians, Czechs, people of Hong Kong and Afghan Society to stand against their oppressors. History shows how each of these people suffered at the hands of their own governments because they heard America’s call.
The Trump-Iranian Peace Accord has no mention of Democracy, Women’s and Children’s rights, downsizing Iran’s military grip upon its civilian population or even sanctions to go to their own people terrorized for decades. It appears that America’s only concern is the free flow of energy supplies and finances. America should not pontificate, you see, for its own democracy is in peril, for all to see.
Oh, Hah, Democracy in America, What is it good for, absolutely nothing but the making of Money for the Few!
“Say you want a revolution, well, you know, history only repeats itself. Others care little for the Constitution; well, you know America’s sinking socially rather fast. The World looks to you, American Dream, so don’t fail us now, look forward, not back, the future is in your hands to shape and mould at last!
