Charlottetown’s indoor public skating season is on, with admission of $1 for children, $2 for adults and $4 for a family, the city said Oct. 20.
The city’s Parks and Recreation Department released the 2026-27 fall and winter schedule, which covers four rinks. Helmets approved by the Canadian Standards Association are required for all participants, the city said.
At Cody Banks Arena, public skate runs Sundays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., and a preschool skate runs Monday to Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. At Simmons Sports Centre, public skate is Sundays from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., and adult and senior skate is Monday to Friday from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The Eastlink Centre hosts adult and senior skate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The Bell Aliant Centre offers public skate Monday to Thursday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Adult season skate passes cost $45 and are valid at the Eastlink Centre and Simmons Sports Centre. They can be bought at either location, the city said.
The schedule can change because of private rentals, tournaments and special events. The city directs residents to the Cody Banks Arena and Simmons Sports Centre rink schedules online for the latest updates.
The announcement follows another honour for the city this week, when Charlottetown’s tap water was named the best in Atlantic Canada. Residents are also heading into a municipal election on Nov. 2, according to the city’s council pages.
