First Confirmed Flu Death in Windsor-Essex – AM800 (iHeartRadio)


Windsor-Essex has its first confirmed death related to the flu.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit points out during the 2018-19 flu season, there was one death associated with influenza.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed is reminding people the best way to protect yourself and lower your risk is to get the flu vaccine.

He says the best time to get vaccinated is now.

The health unit has distributed 149, 660 doses throughout the community.
