
Region of Waterloo Public Health posted an increase of 20 COVID-19 cases on its dashboard Sunday afternoon.
This brings the new total up to 2,174 for the region since March.
The number of active cases has increased to 116 from 107 since yesterday.
Here are some other updates from the Region’s COVID summary dashboard on Sunday:
- 1,937 resolved cases (89 per cent).
- 121 related deaths in the region, first death since August 21.
- Nine cases are currently hospitalized.
There are five active outbreaks in the region:
- Manufacturing/Industrial Workplace (three cases)
- Energy and Utilities facility (two cases)
- Holy Spirit Catholic School (two cases)
- Our Lady of Grace Catholic School (three cases)
- Conestoga-Doon Campus Child Care Centre (one case)
The outbreak at the place of worship where an event was held has ended.
