Montreal Island was responsible for 727 of today’s cases and nine of the deaths.
Nineteen more people are in hospital with COVID-19, for a total of 1,516.
Among those in hospital, 229 are in intensive care – eight more than the previous day.
On Monday, Quebec conducted 32,350 tests. That’s the last day for which screening data is available.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Quebec has reported 234,695 cases and 8,815 deaths linked to COVID-19. A total of 202,166 who have contracted the disease have since recovered.
On Tuesday, 7,855 vaccine doses were administered, bringing the total to 107,365.

Pandemic-battered Air Canada cuts 1,700 jobs
Air Canada said on Wednesday it will cut first-quarter capacity by an additional 25 per cent, resulting in a workforce reduction of about 1,700 employees, as travel restrictions, lockdowns and new testing requirements to combat the spread of COVID-19 hit bookings.
