A mysterious financier with ties to shady Hamilton lawyers is wanted by Toronto Police fraud investigators.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Mohammed Ehtesham (or Ehteshamul) Huq — also known as Amir Huq — the alleged “borrower” behind a multimillion-dollar investment scheme. The subject of a Hamilton Spectator investigation published last summer called Breach of Trust, the scheme involved short term loans that disappeared from the trust funds of two disgraced lawyers — Robert Otto, who was disbarred, and Girolamo (Gerry) Falletta, who is suspended.
