This year’s Rising Stars of Investment Banking list comes after a frenetic period for the young professionals named, as dealmaking hit new highs last year after being curtailed initially by Covid lockdowns.
Now, soaring inflation and interest rate increases mean that the 25 rising stars under the age of 40 are facing economic conditions that many will not have dealt with before in their careers. Deals are already slowing as a result.
However, the resilience they’ve built up through pushing ahead in their careers — taking on new responsibilities and receiving promotions — amid the challenges of the pandemic has prepared them for what comes next.
